As the product development manager for Skatewave®, Randy Watermiller provides general oversight of the product development process, from idea through concept and prototypes. Randy loves the fast pace associated with the action sports industry. He is also very involved in quality and safety aspects of Skatewave, and participates on the ASTM standards-setting task group for above-ground skateparks. He’s a member of ASTM F08.66 Subcommittee for Sports Facilities. Randy stays active by camping and biking, and works to keep up with his kids’ activities.
Steve King is the originator of Skatewave modular community skateparks, and serves at the chairman of the company. He is responsible for new concept development, and plays an integral role in reviewing new designs. Steve is a registered landscape architect, FASLA, and provides a unique perspective on design. When he’s not taking the reins in the new product division, Steve enjoys fly fishing, fly fishing and more fly fishing.
Steve Schaust serves as product manager for Skatewave, and keeps the peace between product development, manufacturing, marketing and other areas of the company. He’s been with the company for 26 years, with 17 of those spent in the product development area. Steve loves to see the excitement of the youth riders right before a new Skatewave skatepark opens. His perfect weekend would include camping, boating and long days of fishing.
Perry Hicks is a senior designer for Skatewave. He has been with the company since 1989, and is a go-to guy for innovative and creative new product designs. Perry is not afraid to take chances, and it shows! Perry is an outdoor enthusiast, with snow skiing and boating being two of his favorite activities. He’s a travel fanatic, too, and will go anywhere, any time.
