MINNEAPOLIS, December 5, 2003 – Landscape Structures has been awarded the Park and Playground Equipment contract with U.S. Communities, a national nonprofit organization that helps local government agencies leverage their collective buying power to purchase a broad range of goods and services and streamline the purchasing process.

By working through U.S. Communities, school districts and city, county and state agencies across the country can now purchase playground equipment, site furnishings and Skatewave® skatepark equipment directly from Landscape Structures.

There is no cost to school districts or public agencies to participate in the program. By utilizing the Landscape Structures U.S. Communities contract, school districts and agencies can purchase products at a discount and avoid the time-consuming bid process.

Schools and public agencies can register to participate at www.playlsi.com by clicking on the U.S. Communities logo. A single registration allows participation in all lead agency contracts, with no restrictions on the amount of a public agency order. All U.S. Communities contracts have been competitively solicited by a lead public agency. In the case of Landscape Structures, the contract was awarded through a competitive solicitation led by the city of Charlotte/Mecklenburg County, N.C. Procurement Services.
