Sundt Memorial Foundation

The Sundt Memorial Foundation was started in 1994 after its founder, Jon Sundt, lost two brothers to substance abuse. He then made a lifelong commitment to helping students hear the message of not using drugs and alcohol in a positive way that will impact their lives forever.

The Foundation's mission is to change the hearts and minds of young people by inspiring them to make healthy choices and not use drugs.  The Foundation does this by using cutting-edge multimedia to deliver this message through the cultural leaders and heroes of today's youth.  The Natural High video series is part of a nationwide educational outreach program of the Foundation. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

The goal for the 20-minute video is unprecedented: Distribute a free copy to every public, private and alternative school in the country (with a fifth grade or higher). In September 2004, the Sundt Memorial Foundation sent its first wave of 15,000 Natural High DVDs to schools in the western United States. By October of 2005, in advance of Red Ribbon Week, the Foundation achieved its goal of sending Natural High 2 FREE to 114,000 schools, potentially impacting the lives of 31,000,000 kids!!

Natural High 2 is getting people's attention because it's different than other anti-drug videos.  It features a new wave of American role models delivering positive anti-drug messages.  There are no death statistics, no scare tactics.  And kids from all walks of life with all type of interests find the positive messages compelling.

Barry McCaffrey, former Drug Czar under President Clinton, applauds the video.  He says, "A superb video.  If you show your kids only one substance abuse prevention video this year, make it Natural High 2. Your kids will remember."
